Biography

Luana Resinelli was born in the province of Brescia in 1977. She has been showing a great flair for art subjects since when she was a child, so much that she was awarded thanks to a painting in tempera on paper when she was only 7.
Her passion for art leads her to attend the art school "Maffeo Olivieri" in Sarezzo, and then the Academy of Fine Arts “G. B. Cignaroli” in Verona, where she is awarded with a scholarship thank to her merits of quality, research and dedication; she graduates with specialisation sculpture with the highest score in 2001, obtaining an honourable mention for her graduation thesis.
She has exhibited in several Italian towns such as
Brescia, Verona
, Imperia, Genova; she has taken part into two symposia in Hungary and she was invited to an exhibition in Alsace (France). She has recently set up her personal exhibition at the Culture Palace in Cellatica (Bs), and she has been awarded with several prizes: she placed third at the competition in Brescia “Arte in Primavera” [Art in Spring]; she won the National competition “Il Percorso della Memoria “ [the journey of memory] supported by the Municipality of Massa Fiscaglia (Fe) in 2007, where a bas-relief of hers was cast in bronze and placed in the main square; she placed second in the same competition in Ferrara in 2008; she is now going on to show in several exhibitions and competitions.
She has been obtaining various plaudits especially for what regards the “lightness” of her sculptures.
Her works are to be found in several private collections in
Italy
but also abroad.
Together with sculpture, she dedicates to painting with passion, especially to paintings with mixed technique and portraits mainly in charcoal and colour pencils; for what regards portraits, she has made about 50 up to now.
